MY HOME
I am free to roam. A concept I have dreamed about, but never thought possible. For now, it is my way of living.
Personal Freedom is what I write and sing about. It is what I am passionate about and what I advocate for. Taking an almost parallel seat is my love and commitment to personal and emotional well-being. Freeing the body and mind of old programming and repression so that ones life is lived fearlessly - peace and contentment a part of that - is the goal.
My personal goal is to live my truth and to be as well as I can be. In body, mind and spirit. Overall health matters. A lot.
My bigger goal is to be of aid to others who seek the same.
And my grand goal is draw a distinction between well-meaning churches who operate out of love and cults and extremist sects who are pernicious and punishing in their attitude. No-one deserves to have their family bonds severed because of a punishing religious regime. Have we not learnt from Hitler the long lasting and devastating effects punishment, abuse, emotional torture and separation has on an individual?
Religion needs to be brought into the twenty-first century.
Let churches show and prove that they are not collective egoic entities by their actions.
Years of being programmed to believe that as a female I was born to suffer. be submissive, serve man and be answerable has made life severely challenging. However having inherited my fathers disposition of optimism, there was no way that I was going to be shut down or shut up forever. I was born with a voice and the desire to be heard. So whatever it takes and for however long I remain on this earth I will strive toward that end. The word - be it sung, spoken or written -is how I wish to communicate.
